Herefordshire is a surprisingly accessible, quietly magnificent county, with a gentle unspoilt charm.  There are excellent motorway and main road links, just 3 hours from London and 1.5 hours from Birmingham and Cardiff and good national rail links to Abergavenny and Hereford.  Local bus runs from Vowchurch to Hereford and Hay on Wye.
